
Formally a hunting
lodge constructed in circa 1769 for the then Marquise
of Curemonte, this traditional stone cottage has
been extended to provide a unique holiday destination
in the medieval area of the Dordogne in the South
West region of France, nestled between the Mid-Pyrenees
and Bordeaux.
The accommodation
sleeps five, consisting of two bedrooms. A master
with king-size bed and balcony and a second bedroom
with both a double and single bed. There is a
lounge, dining area, kitchen, bathroom along with
a large outdoor swimming pool and a gym complete
with sauna and shower room.

La
Marquisie is situated some 5km from the village
of Curemonte which dates back to the 11th Century
and 7km from the larger town of Beaulieu Sur Dordogne,
translated meaning "Beautiful place on the
river".
West are the towns
of Collonges-le-Rouge known as the 'city of little
castles' and Turenne, a 15th Century village surrounded
by two castles.
To the South &
East stretches the Dordorgne valley, home to the
beautiful villages and towns of Loubressac, Autoire,
Carennac & Martel, while the stunning citadel
of Rocamadour is only 30 minutes drive away.
